How many people does a grazing box feed?

What does each grazing box feed and cost?

Boxes are made fresh to order in our Melbourne CBD kitchen, and contents change with the season. The 'up to' numbers are the most each box is made for. The cost per person is the price divided by the top of that range.

• Savoury grazing box, small: $75, up to 2 people ($37.50 each).
• Savoury box, medium: $100, up to 4 people ($25 each).
• Savoury box, large: $165, up to 6 people ($27.50 each).
• Brunch grazing box: $99, feeds 2 to 4 (about $25 each at 4), with a personalised message.
• Brekky grazing box, small: $70, feeds 1 to 2 ($35 each).
• Sweet grazing box, small: $75, feeds 1 to 2 ($37.50 each).
• Fruit grazing box, small: $60, feeds 1 to 2 ($30 each).

How do I feed a group of 4, 6, 8 or 12?

The medium savoury box is the best value per person, at $25 each for up to 4. These combinations use real prices and the top of each serves range, so they cover a full group.

• Group of 4: one medium savoury box at $100, or one brunch box at $99 for a morning group.
• Group of 4 with extras: a medium savoury box plus a fruit box is $160, or plus a sweet box is $175.
• Group of 6: one large savoury box at $165, or one medium and one small savoury box at $175.
• Group of 8: two medium savoury boxes at $200. Or one medium savoury and one brunch box at $199. Or a large and a small savoury box at $240.
• Group of 12: three medium savoury boxes at $300. Or two large savoury boxes at $330.

How hungry will my guests be?

The serves figures are the most a box is made for. If your guests are also having a meal, a box works well as a starter. If the box is the main meal, or the group is hungry, it is sensible to order one size up or add another box.

Put your headcount and any dietary needs in the order notes, and the team will let you know what they can do.

When does a grazing table make more sense?

Boxes work well up to about 12 people. Beyond that, a table is set up for you at your venue, and it can cost less than a pile of boxes. Tables need at least 5 days' notice, against 24 hours for boxes.

Here are two examples with real prices. For 15 guests, a 0.5 m sweet table is $400, while eight sweet boxes would be $600. For 20 guests, a 0.5 m fruit table is $300, while ten fruit boxes would be $600.

How do I order several boxes?

Choose your box, set the quantity for the number of boxes you need, then pick a date and a one-hour slot between 9am and 3pm. You can also pick up for free from 238 Flinders Street.
