What can I order for a wake?

Food that people can help themselves to, without plates and formal service, is often easy at a gathering like this. These are the options.

• Savoury grazing boxes: small $75 (up to 2), medium $100 (up to 4) and large $165 (up to 6). Several boxes can cover a larger group.
• Fruit grazing box, $60 for 1 to 2, and brunch grazing box, $99 for 2 to 4.
• A grazing table, set up at your venue for a larger gathering. See savoury, sweet, fruit and brunch tables.
• Canapés from $3.50 a piece, with a minimum of 30. See the add-ons page.

How much notice is needed?

Boxes need at least 24 hours' notice, which helps when time is short. Tables need at least 5 days' notice.

If you need a table sooner than 5 days, or a box sooner than 24 hours, please call 0481 974 842 and ask. We can't promise it, but we will be straight with you about what we can do.

How do I choose a size?

For tables, sizes are set by length, and each size lists the most guests it feeds. A 1 m sweet table feeds up to 35 guests for $750, and a 1 m fruit table feeds up to 40 for $650. Savoury table prices are on the grazing table pricing page.

It is hard to know numbers for a wake. As general guidance, it is easier to allow a little extra than to run short, and you can tell us a range.

How do delivery and set-up work?

Boxes can be picked up free from 238 Flinders Street, or delivered in a one-hour slot between 9am and 3pm. Delivery fees depend on your suburb, and you can see them on our delivery and shipping policy.

For tables, our team arrives up to 2 hours before the start time to set up, and everything is disposable or recyclable. If you ask for hot food, the venue needs a fully functioning kitchen.

Can you cater for dietary needs?

Yes, on request. We can cater for gluten free, dairy free, nut free, vegan and vegetarian needs. Tell us about any allergies when you order or enquire.

How do I order?

There is no online payment. You place an order request, and we call or email to confirm it and arrange payment.

• Tables need a 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm the date, with the balance due 72 hours before the event.
